The US knows Cubans’ daily calorie intake because they impose hunger on purpose – Latin American History Professor Danny Shaw

On the latest episode of Sanchez Effect Professor Shaw argues that America’s long-term economic blockade of Cuba has forced the island into a humanitarian crisis, comparing it to Gaza’s suffering. He warns that the ‘economic war’ has depopulated Cuba, denied citizens access to foreign currency, and left families starved for basic necessities.

The professor calls US actions a new form of colonialism, insisting that the only benefit of the blockade is profit for billionaires, describing imperialism as a ‘beast’ that exists solely to extract money at the expense of Cuban children. Shaw has travelled the country himself and says Cubans almost wish for the bombs to drop already – it can’t be worse than what they are experiencing now.

Watch the full conversation for a candid look at the looming threat of invasion, the role wealthy lobbyists play, and how US politics are shaping Cuba’s future – only on RT.
